Hey All
I'm what some would call Over annalistic, I just have to know, When I heard about wounded knee or cripple creek, I had to come right in to google them both.
OK 1mm variances on the shims (.10-.20mm in & .15-.25mm ex.) I got them all pretty well maxed. .1980 & .2518 (hair over)
Now I know that one sign of being UNDER (Worn & not done) is Hard starting.
And I have heard the saying, "Slappy valves, are Happy valves".
But does anyone KNOW, What are the signs of being OVER??
Curious Minds just have to know??

tire gage stash.
I got tired of, OOPS My tire gage in in the Tail box, and camping gear ETC ETC is all strapped on.
Or, OOP'S It's in my Tank bag............AT HOME. ETC ETC.
SO, Just inside the faring just below the blinker where it tappers under, so the screw heads are fairly well hidden.
I mounted 2, 1/2 inch wire/ "Cable-clamps". Now just slip the stick style pressure gage into them, with the shirt clip holding it in place.
(Left side, because the bike leans to the left, and the Speedo etc. help hide it from LOW-LIFES that would take it.)
Plastic loops with a "tail / tap" for putting a screw threw, to hold wires (like Cable tv, cable) in the rafters etc. ($1.29 for a package of 12 pieces)
Very common, but the part number is "ppc-1550" google for a picture, & you will recognize it.

just gotta know? (valves)
A loose valve clearance (way out of spec) will cause excess noise, waste gas and is hard on the valve train.
Don t worry, yours are no where loose enough to cause any of these symptoms.
