i was just thinking.....nklr

Post by ron criswell » Sun Apr 14, 2013 8:56 am

My best memory of that ride was having fellow riders that graduated with honors from tire fixing Colledge. How have I gotten by with my numerous trips to the land of thorns (Big Bend National Park) with.....how do I say this without jinxing myself.....no issues? Y'all would be proud of me. Recently, after a long hiatus from mounting tires myself after an unpleasant situation mounting a tire with rim locks on a dirt bike, I recently struggled successfully mounting a new Dunlop 606. And it still is holding air a month later (heh). Love that tire. I love all tires that hold air ( unlike miserable politicians). Y'all are welcome to come down next time I go to Big Bend (heh). Next weekend I am riding down to new race track in Austin TX for the Circuit of the Americas GP race to watch incredible riders going waaaay fast. Criswell Sent from my iPad

spark plug question?

Post by ron criswell » Sun Apr 14, 2013 11:44 am

Sent from my iPad I am putting new spark plugs in my Concours not my KLR......but would apply to either I suppose. Instead of taking my old plug to the dealer (which were NGK DR8EA) and saying "gimme some of these" I said "Gimme plugs for a 2001 Concours. He gave me....NGK DR7EA's. The book says for my model, standard riding NGK DR8EA's, low speed riding NGK DR7EA's, high speed riding NGK DR9EA's. I suppose these are fine. I rarely ride above 80 mph, but like to kit it out on the on ramp....but do ride in slower city traffic??? Just curious, I guess these are a little hotter? Criswell
