My first mileage run after installing the Mikuni I got 45 mpg over 60 miles. Guess I'll just have to do some more riding. Ron -----Original Message----- From: achesley43@... Really woke that bike up. At that time, was having a hard time getting the right slides for a 4 stroke engine so never got it just right. It also increased fuel useage by about 3 to 4 miles to the gallon. Kinda waiting to see what that carb will do fuel mileage wise. Also ran a 36 VM on a 520 Yamaha single I had all hopped up. Nice running bike. Also NEVER had a problem with the slides sticking due to vaccum. That's an old wives tale. Keep your stuff clean and no bent needles or Needle jet slide and no problems. Don't ask how I know about the Needle thing. ;-( .... After we get an idea of mileage on the 38VM converstion, I may go for it.
