n klr guns and activities

The conventional wisdom on the gun boards I follow holds that .22rf is the preferred round for bear, black, brown or white. The reasoning follows the old rule of thumb: you don't have to outrun the bear as long as you can outrun your buddy. One .22 round to the kneecap will insure that. (See, there is more than one old joke about bears.)

Also I do know one very important thing...unless you train regularly for person to person armed conflict you are at a major disadvantage to most bad boys. Hey I just received a facebook post (local ride club) Picture of the front sprocket, GONE chain messed up a bit, The Nut still in place. Have not YET heard what happened. Any Ideas? The guy usually takes good care of his Bikes. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Serious manufacturing flaw? Front sprockets are usually quite hard steel. Sounds like it shattered somehow. Weird! -eddie

What brand of sprocket was it? I bet something got in between the chain and sprocket that shouldn t be there.(rock, road debris) I d also bet this was a cheap sprocket, but I guess anything could be possible.
