The way I heard it is that The most arduous journey for a man is the 18 inch trek from his head to his heart.

I installed a set of RaceTech Emulators last week (THANX FRED) and while I was at it, rebuilt the forks with new seals and bushings and went with 15Wt Belray fork oil....
The bike has 51k on it and the bushings were showing their age....It had worn through the coating and was getting down to bare metal.... I'm also running progressive springs and an Eagle Mike Fork brace.....
You need to cut about an inch off the PVC spacers to adjust for the length of the Emulators ....I went with .75" and added a little more spring preload.....you also need to drill out and add another pair of holes to the damper rods to disable them...Be sure to deburr the holes and make sure everything is cleaned up good before you assemble them....I made a seal driver out af a 24" piece of 1.5" schedule 40 PVC pipe from LOWES....One end is cut flat to drive on the inner seal....I champered the inside of the other end to fit the dust seal, then I and added a removable slip on PVC cap that I can use my rubber mallet on that will swap between ends depending on if I'm driving on the inner seal or outer dust seal....I also made a socket to hold the inner damper out of a big Nut (7/8" or 1" I think) welded to a socket....It'll keep the damper from spinning when you tighten the 10mm allen head bolt at the bottom of the fork.
The Emulators made a big difference in the way it handles the stutter bumps and rocky roads....It doesn't dive as bad when coming to a stop....It's like having a new bike again but better !!!!
It was definitly an IMPROVMENT !!!

Do you see the conflict in these statements?
"less of an issue" / "INTIMINATOR controls the dampening, NOT the damper
rod."
You have to understand that most any manufacturer is going to play the words
to sell their product. I don't believe most anything a manufacturer tells
me as I know they are only trying to "sell" their product.
The way the Ricor works is the same as the way the Cartridge Emulators work.
I believe in supporting original thinking and Race Tech was first with this
idea long before Ricor came out with their product. Sometimes when a
company has to catch up with the competition they can make some bold
statements.
If you already have the Ricor units, use them and enjoy them. I am sure
they will make a huge difference in the way the KLR forks work, but I
wouldn't belittle the Race Tech units because they are basically the same,
only cheaper.

OK found it. They say "less of an issue"
Do I need to drill my damper rods?
No. We use a lighter oil so the damper rod hole size becomes less of an issue.
I've already drilled my damper rod for a different product, is that ok?
Yes. The INTIMINATOR controls the dampening, NOT the damper rod.
