If any of you are in the Ft. Lauderdale area, and know of a safe parking place near the Port Everglades (Ft. Lauderdale) Terminal 1 Harbor area, please let me know. I see where there is a ferry that departs from Port Everglades (Ft. Lauderdale) Terminal 1 to the Bhamas, and I am interested in taking the trip. Got Parking?

Thumper talk is the best option I've found for DRZ400s. Lots of good info
there.

Hi Rev
The thumpertalk DRZ forum is the gold standard forum for the DRZ.
I have 2 DRZs.. a 2000E that has had the "Eddie treatment" and the first Nova Racing Wide Ratio gear set installed in the US..
This setup has transformed the DRZ into the ultimate light weight adventure tourer for me. I get to keep my low first gear but the top gear allows for comfortable freeway cruising. I use this DRZ to scout off road routes here in the southwest mountains and deserts that will work for my upcoming sidecar tours.
I also have a stock 2006 SM.. that I use on the mountain roads up here in Wrightwood. Just have to learn how to ride it properly.
I have the a Wide Ratio gear set sitting on the self for this SM. This bike will go to Eddie Sisneros for its big bore kit and trannie transplant sometime late this summer. The goal here is to make the SM a better all round freeway flier.. a low first for comfortable lane splitting and a top gear for comfortable freeway cruising at 80 indicated. Eddie's engine treatment provides in the neighborhood of 50 ftlbs of torque throughout the relevant rpm ranges.
I still have my 2 KLRs... one is in parts in storage and the other has an Enduro Sidecar attached. Not sure what the future holds for the KLRs at this point. My pride and joys at this point are my '06 and '11 Ural GearUps... I am planning to build my MojaveSidecar.com business around the Urals this summer... but I may add the KLRs with sidecars to mix as well. I hope to open the MojaveSidecarIn' (ing/inn) this summer to family/friends and fellow sidecar, KLR, and DRZ pilots this summer. its a WIP.
Randy from Wrightwood.
