small high mpg car?

Post by Desert Datsuns » Wed Mar 20, 2013 6:19 pm

My last Frontier, a 1998, got almost 30 mpg. It would average 29.x mpg. That's with an extended cab, 2wd, and the 2.4 engine. Great truck. This would tow two bikes easily, I used to haul a trailer to the dump every so often with no issues. You might run into some issues towing up a really long hill at freeway speeds, but otherwise it's fine. What's even better is that you can put one big bike in the back, or two dirt bikes, if you want. My current 2006 Nissan Frontier crew cab get's 20mpg. This Frontier is the best vehicle I've ever owned. Ever. The 4.0 engine has just 30hp less than the same year Chevy full size with a V8, at 265hp. I can tow a flatbed trailer with a car on the back down the highway at 75mph to a show in another city with zero issues. The worst it's ever gotten is 14.x mpg hauling a car/trailer, but that was to a show at a higher elevation. It would get double what you're current truck gets. The truck has 105,000 miles, and hasn't had ANY problems. Ryan Phoenix, AZ mark ward wrote:
