Speaking of history-- Would Irish Kate be a member, even longer than Jennifer (KLR rider killed in Baja by the fish-taco truck; AFAIK) if Jennifer were still living? revmaaatin. who remains curious about history and such and would bet Devin would know...if he were still contributing.

rain gear (non klr)
Hey NEW THREAD ("New" this year.)
Rain gear was mentioned, And I have seen, read, and talked to many that say during a "good" rain they find there suit LEAKS.
I have a Tourmaster Suit, and found the crothc LEAKED after an hour or so, and FLOODED My seat INSIDE the suit. (was wet and COLD, so not PEE.)
When I returned hm, (and dryed it well) I gave it 3 coats of water proofing spray, and 4-5 in the crotch and seat area. It did well after that. (so far)
Moral of the story: just because you paid the Big buck$ do not just trust it to get you threw and long days RAINY ride.
IF you do NOT have a suit, and looking, Wear your heavy coat, (not summer light) AND BOOTS. DO NOT SIT to try it on. Odds are you will be on the side of the raod somewhere IN A RUSH. BOOTS ON ETC.
