first aid....and tolerance
-I found that original posting regarding the extremely extensive first aid suggestions to be a little frightening. I could not help but feel that the poster was referring to military kit and undoubtably his personal experiences must have justified such inclusions.
Most of us should probably be a little more conscious in what we have available ..
At least a few bandages, tape etc...etc but where does one stop?
Let's face it ...regardless how carefully we ride ....there is an element of risk and for some of us ...a lot of risk..
I rode with a fellow a few years ago who felt it necessary to travel with some 50 lbs of 'spares' (just in case...spare cables, brake pads, chain, sprockets, brake rotor? Spark plugs, extensive tools etc..just a whole bunch of 'stuff') that's what he 'needed' in order to be comfortable setting out on a road trip. I thought it was total overkill but I did not mock him.
Digger obviously needed a whole lot of 'stuff' to be comfortable....some of it a little scary, (shears? Etc?) but his choice..so be it
He did drop it when he cursed (in short form) one of the listers but....
Ride safe and often!
