Hi Dual Star have some adjustable mirrors... http://www.dual-star.com/index2/Equipment/adjustable_mirror.htm Has anyone tried these on a KLR and if so do they actually work? I can't see that there would be enough room for them to fit on the bars. Andy C8

Is there any reason to buy the whole mirror when you can just buy the vibration dampener for about 11 dollars? Is there something special about the mirror assembly itself? Later.

If you're talking about the Honda mirrors, the Honda vibration damper has different threads on either end. Bottom end fits the KLR mirror holes, top end fits the, well, Honda mirrors. The El Cheapo (TM) (JC Whitney Exclusive!) vibration dampers have the same thread on either end. Krokko -- Dr. J. Has anyone tried using thread tape(plumbers tape) to reduce vibration in the mirrors?

Here are a couple of real nice folding mirrors: http://www.doubletakemirror.com/build These appear to have been developed by an advrider guru. They use ram mounts and look to be highly adjustable and durable, but also expensive by the time you get all the necessary nounting bits. http://www.moto-science.com/product/ktm-oem-folding-mirror-280mm-perch-mount-10mmx125mm These came on my KTM and are high-quality folding mirrors, not too unreasonable at about $30 a side. The Ken Sean mirror is popular and comparatively cheap. I am trying one on my KTM right now, but the jury is still out. http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp?skuId=391305&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cse I like the stock DR650 mirrors, too, but they do not fold like the others listed. Other possibilities are the Acerbis dirt bike mirror, which makes you street legal but does not give much of a view to the rear, and the Dual Star adjustable mirror, a variation on the typical convex mirror, also pretty small. It uses a hose clamp to mount on the handlebar inboard of the crossbar ends, so it is well out of harms way, but located in a hard place to get a view to the rear, looking under your arms.

Go faster. Then "whats a behind you, make a no difference". I love that movie by the way. I need to watch it just to see the guy on the bike again.

Lapcik? On a Kaw. 2-stroke triple! The "what's behind you..." was Raul Julia in a real Ferrari "Daytona". Along with the 427 Cobra, they represented the two fastest convertables of the day. =) eddie

The Honda XR650L mirrors with the separate anti-vib mounts thread right into the handle mounts but the mirrors and anti-vib mounts are probably over $100 by now. Don R100, A6F (x2)

Yes. Go to your local H-D dealer that is running a Riders Edge Program and ask them for some of the take off mirrors. Get both the dampers and mirrors, they work great and can usually be had for very little.
