I saw one up close new year's RTE...spoke to the owner ...what was interesting was the electrical wires coming out of both fork tubes, since the bike has electronic ride control. Don't think I would want to work on it though I couldn't ride one of these (multistrada)...i'd look too silly on one. Eddie, Here is a full featured alarm for $150 plus $10 shipping. This alarm has a perimeter sensor, a vibration and shock sensor, a two way pager, and an engine cut off. This is a great deal if you compare it to $400 plus alarms from other companies that have similar features. Motorcycle Consumer news gave it a good review, you can read it on the alarm company's web site. The perimeter sensor may have saved your gear. But, a less-than-honorable individual saw fit to rip me off today. I was in a Ace hardware store less than 5 minutes buying some 2-cycle mix plus a spare sprocket cover nut for my chain saw when they decided to open my right saddlebag and make off with a $14 cover I got off eBay and a small bag of assorted tools I carry on the bike. It's my good fortune they were monumentally stupid as the ALICE pack bungeed to the rear rack contained a spare $45 Stihl bar, $24 chain, a set of felling wedges and a nearly new Stihl M290 Farm Boss saw worth nearly $400.
