Here's a link to a photo with an 08 header mounted on an 05. You have to scroll down the page a bit.

I think it does, but I must ask first. Does the 08-11 header fit the 07 and older models?

01 klr 650 electrical problem ?

2001 KLR 650 30,000 miles
Hello to all, I got a problem. Riding to work before sunrise all my lights start flickering
on and off. Speedo , Tach, headlight, everything, but engine runing ok. All lights go off.
I pull over in darkness, wait few secounds, lights come back on. Ride the last few miles
to work, everything working ok again. Ride home after work no problems, as far as I know
its mid afternoon, don't know if lights are on or off, they are on when I start and ride off.
I pull the tank off, look for loose connections. Disconnect and reconnect all the connections I can get to.
Can't make it happen again.
Anybody had this happen to them or have any ideas on what could be the problem ?
Thanks
Bob

Check the ones under the black cover behind the speedo.
I had similar problems, but mine were with the whole bike. First
instances were because of a corroded bullet connector (I hate those
things) near the battery. Replaced with a Posi-Lock and after that the
troubles were with loose connectors near the speedo... From when I was
undoing all the connectors and cleaning them a filling them up with
dielectric grease.

Really? Just go riding in the dark again.

have you gotten rid of your glass fuses
and replaced them with blade types?
The connections at the fuses lose their
temper.

I tend to lose my temper, too. Should I be replaced?

I spray a little silicon spray (WITH Dielectric,) or a tiny dab of Dielectric grease on everything 12v electrical.
keeps it from Oxidizing, and seperating a good connection.
Have you ever noticed everything factory, Bulbs etc. out in the weather They do it to.
