Depends on what type of alarm you're talking about. If it is just a noisemaker... well - out here in CA, nobody investigates car alarms because they are so frequent.> Thanks, > Matthew

Just don't bother. They run your battery down, they usually end up the reason why you can't get the bike to start one day after filling up in a petrol station 30miles from home at 2 am. If you bike is taken then the alarm is not much of a deterrent as most people have learnt to ignore them. In the UK the alarm systems that get you savings on insurance etc usually have to be 3yrs old then you need to fit an alarm, the savings don't outweigh the cost. Spend your money on a ground anchor and a fsking big lock. If your out you just need to chain it up correctly with a good lock. Jack> I have an '04 KLR650 and an '01 Concours. I'd like to get an alarm system for each of them. Does anyone have any input, recommendations, etc? > TIA, Gerry
