Attachments :   They upgraded the doo but left in a weak spring design. Going with the torsion spring should make it all work like it's intended. I upgraded the doohickey along with the torsion spring and won't have to wonder.   While not a difficult task, removing the cover, starter gears and their easily misplaced washers + removing the rotor can be a bit daunting for the novice - even with the proper tools. Still, it's home garage doable if you have the tools, time & inclination. Plus, when you're done, you can affix the Eagle Mike "Have you done the do?" sticker with pride. =) eddie

I've done it twice...2nd time just to install torsion spring. I still have borrowed tools from Bob "nuclieye" from KLR650 forum....so I feel pretty good about showing you what to do if you're interested in learning,
