Mine are not that loud actually and this is all a Tempest in a Teapot anyway,as for being Deluded if you think making more laws for things like loud pipes and on and on"BLAH BLAH" i rest my case,to much Government interference in peoples lives is the problem and all those that go along for the ride,"Literally",the Law Nannys and there ilk are all over this Planet creating problems where none exist they should go back into there corner in the little dark room they sprang from and leave us all in peace "Amen". WARNING: Rant content follows! I'm a libertarian (with a small "L"). I agree with Reagan that the government usually IS the problem. HOWEVER: My house is on a major 4-lane boulevard in West Los Angeles. It would be difficult to count the number of straight-piped Harleys that roar up and down my street on any given day and into the night. It is not for safety, it is not for performance, it is flat-out retarded. I blame the Discovery Channel for introducing those knuckle-dragging cretins from American Chopper to the country. When that show came out, everyone just HAD to get a chopper, and if they couldn't afford a custom bike, they bought a Harley and just made it stupid loud. It is not "cool", no one wants to hear your pipes over their conversations, their TV and in some cases their headphones. I swear if I never see one more &$*@ing loud, vibrating, overpriced, polished-chrome turd, it will be too soon. It's these types of people who give us all a bad name, and prompt small-brained politicians to pass stupid laws that we all then have to live with. If people used the common sense of a *%&^ing goose everyone would not be pissed off and this law would not have ever been proposed. I'm a Libertarian pretty much me-self. When I was a teenager, if you had loud pipes on your car or bike, you would get an excessive noise ticket. I got 3 or 4 of those. My brother even got a ticket and his '50 Merc wasn't even started. He had scavenger pipes hanging down below the rear axle and the cop just looked under it and saw he had no mufflers. I forget what the ticket was as he wasn't running. There is a little wine bar in the downtown of a small town I live in with a Harley hangout about a block down the street. Friday nights the Hogs and Choppers parade by trying to break me and my wife's wine glasses. It is kind of funny too me and doesn't bother me too much but you are right, these guys do piss people off and has negative effects on bike riders. I love to get my KLR all muddy and ride by them sounding like a tweeting VW with a blown head gasket. They look at me like I am from outer space. I bet I have more money in the bank. Criswell

I've never watched South Park before, but some friends in another forum recently were raving about "The F Word Episode" in the context of loud pipes, and they said it was the funniest motorcycling satire they'd ever seen. So I had a squiz on google and found it can be downloaded, legally, from the producers.
