I just purchased the Kenda K270 at JC Whitney for $20.99 dollars apiece. Originally, they were going to charge me the web price of $57.00 dollars, but they honored the JC Whitney Motorcycle catalog price after I give them the page and part numbers. The part numbers are on page 114 and the part numbers are: CCN315335 (front 3.25x 21) and CCN315337 (rear 5.10x17). Ken Colorado

<><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><><> Ken, Sounds like a good deal if the tires are fresh. Any idea what the date stamp says on them? If you aren't familiar with the date stamp it will be four digits on the sidewall. The first two digits are the week and last two the year made. A $20 K270 is an incredible tire. A $57 K270 is mediocre at best. At that price, you might as well get a D606.

Over the years I’ve noticed that JC Whitney’s prices goes up and down from catalog to web and on the phone, like Sears. Walk through Sear and check out how many different prices they will have on tools or tool sets that are identical and priced differently from one part of the store to another. When I first inquired about the Kenda K270’s, I was told that they were unavailable. After giving the information from the JC Whitney Motorcycle catalog they shipped me last week, the order went through, and the tires plus other stuff (Medium Trunk…) is being shipped on 6/14/10. Weather the tires are good or bad, I will be able to test them out at a very cheap price.

If you want the same deal, Contact JC Whitney at 18008534227 and request the JC Whitney Motorcycle Catalog.

Ken

Ken, I am currently running a K270 on the rear, 606 on the front. For that price install them and ride um. Bit of a warning, you will find them scary first time you lean them on pavement, you can actually feel the knobs flex, never did they loose footing however. Offroad drop air pressure and it will chew at the ground. Maybe 3000~4000 for the rear depending on riding/throttle useage, more for the front but will notice it will cup, but nice thing is you can pop the front off and reverse it to wear the knobs the other way, it is a not a directional tire. For the price you got them for, what the heck hey. Admit I like the D606 on the front more, but never had issues with the K270 up there. Just happen to get a good deal on the 606 when I "needed" a tire ( oddity for me btw good price/when needed ) Enjoy Dooden A15 Green Ape

I just called JC Whitney and ordered 4 Kenda D270s, 2 front and 2 rear. They did honor the $20.99 price although it took them a few minutes to find it in the catalog. They also threw in the web special of free shipping although I had to pay a $15 sur charge for the shipping weight. $107 for 4 new tires. For that Price I can easily forgive the little side wiggle thing they do while I commute to work.

I called and could not produce "the letters" from the catalog so I could not order. Anyone have these letters from the back page of the catalog?

I didn't hear from anyone about the LETTERS but I didn't want to miss out, so I called back. I guess it depends on who you talk to. This time Trina was awwwwesome and got me the tires at that price and free shipping and told me about their deal w/ spend $100 and get a $25 gift cert back. Sooo I got two back tires one front and the Bad Boy horn. It looks like a copy of the Stebel horn I've been wanting to get. Ask for Trina she is great x7196. Tires are on back order now and should ship early July and the horn is shipping today. Big thanks to the OP Ken for posting this great deal!!
