I'm using twin rim locks on each wheel, so they balance each other out. You can ride a flat with two rimlocks, and I figured why not get something useful for the unsprung rotating mass instead of just using wheel weights. I had to use less than an ounce of weights on each wheel to finish the balance. I don't know the exact size, motion-pro makes the ones I got from dual-star. garalpar@... wrote: the

The rim widths are engraved in the rims. I think the rear is 3.50". I had two locks opposite each other but it was a real beeyotch to get tires on. I eventually moved them to about 120 degrees apart and applied a bunch of stick-on lead weights to the wheel to balance everything. RM

Changing tires with rimlocks installed is definitely a procedure, you have to do everything in a certain order. But once you get it down it takes only a couple minutes longer than without the rimlocks. I've changed out four sets with the rimlocks so far. I got a flat on the way to work a while back, and rode (with my wife and luggage on the bike) three miles to drop my wife off at the subway so she could get to work on time.
