No. There is plenty of chain adjustment travel to allow for a 16T CS sprocket when used with the stock 43T rear sprocket. RM> Are any modifications required to fit a 16 toother on a A15?
Also try: http://www.sprocketspecialists.com I have one on my bike now. It is of unknown origin (it does NOT look like the PBI that most of us use). RM>The only place I know to get one if from fred at >Arrowheadmotorsports.com in moab. good luck
My Sprocket Specialists front 16T had a sticker on it indicating it was "Made in Taiwan". When I ordered it I thought it was going to be "Made in USA". It seems to working fine. gas> I was wondering does the 16 tooth front sprocket give you better
I run the 16 tooth on my '01 KLR and it really does better on the highway, with lower RPMs in each gear. The only time I would throw the 15 back on would be for tight trails, long climbs, etc. As far as gas mileage improvement; I'm in Kansas with not many steep hills where the engine would lug, so I'm sure I received a very slight increase in gas mileage...YMMV.
