I personally *really* like the Etymotic ER-6/ER-6p earphones. They come with silicone 3-flange and rollable-foam plug inserts, and 3 sizes of the foam inserts are available. They're made by a hearing-aid manufacturer and have terrific sound quality. On a cross-country trip I found the Etys -- music or no music -- cut more road/wind/engine noise than generic "30db" foam earplugs. Better for my ears *and* music if I want it? I'm sold. Thor
