Anybody see this?

I don't know if I ever would have fit on one, but they made some nice-looking bikes, and I thought they did a pretty good job of coming up with new tech...

This is terrible news, whether you would ride one or not.
As nightfall does not come at once, neither does oppression. In both
instances, there is a twilight when everything remains seemingly unchanged.
And it is in such twilight that we all must be most aware of change in the
air however slight lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness.

Yep bummer. I Seriously considered buying a Ulysses ..not because I
considered it a KLR type bike but I liked the gas in frame, aircooled
Vtwin / hydraulic valve, belt
drive fuel injection bike. Plus it looked cool. He also seemed to
improve the power
of that old Sportster engine. A friend that is a serious mechanic and
never a Harley fan had an older Buell and loved it. He said it was
real low maintenance. He now is riding a Ducati. You woulld think
Harley who has an aged following would keep around somebody as
creative and inovative as Eric Buell to attract younger riders. Go
figure, they keep playing to their crowd but that could hurt them later.

Bummer. I dug that giant front brake rotor. And they finally got rid of the Harley based engines for Rotax engines. Never owned one but I was considering buying one for the street. I don't think that giant rotor belongs off road.

A few days ago, a question was asked about loading up a strom with 500#.
I suggested in my reply that bikes were designed for one person--that footpegs were merely a marketing tool.
A suggestion that I thought might bring back a remark or two--it didn't. shrug.
Then I read Krocko's link!
See page 17 of this excellent link for Buell's comments on passengers.

Unless I am missing something, the only thing discontinued is the Buell Blast. Page 22 of this link listed below.

That's what I had been reading about in the motorcycle press but this
seems to have just happened. Google: Buell discontinued

There was a link on ADVrider to a video of Erik Buell announcing the closing of the company. He truly looked like a man who had his heart broken.
While I wasn't interested in a bike with connections to "The Motor Company", I did appreciate his clean sheet way of thinking and was impressed with a lot of his ideas. Hopefully this won't be the last we'll hear from him.
