Thanks for the help re: my GPS problem-I think I've got it.
Any advice on the best "bark busters" and where to buy them?

I had Maier Deluxe Woods Aluminum guards on my DRZ400s. Good inexpensive hand guard. $29.99 at www.rockymountainatv.com. Ed> Thanks for the help re: my GPS problem-I think I've got it. > Any advice on the best "bark busters" and where to buy them? > D
These work well and the stock plastic can be bolted back on with a little dremel trimming. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Anyone know how the Maier Deluxe Woods Aluminum compare in strength to the Acerbis Rally Pro? The Rally Pros have an aluminum spine and their plastic is much prettier than any other I've seen.> > I had Maier Deluxe Woods Aluminum guards on my > > DRZ400s. I picked up some Emgo's for my '99 KLR for $47.07 out the door w/ tax at a local dealership. They look like inexspensive Acerbis, fit perfectly, were easy to install (about half an hour w/ trimming), and saved my hand from an encounter with a tree trunk at around 45-55mph. (KLR 1, tree 0). They didn't even get scratched from it, just dirty.> Thanks for the help re: my GPS problem-I think I've got it. > Any advice on the best "bark busters" and where to buy them?
I have the Maier Woods Pro which are very sturdy. I din't like the cheesy bolts they had so I replaced them all with hex head bolts. The aluminum bars are very strong and stout although I have not had a test fall yet (yaaay!!)/ I also bought the plastic brush gaurds that attach to the Woods Pro bars. I got them from Chapparal when they were on sale. Brad Davis> Thanks for the help re: my GPS problem-I think I've got it. > Any advice on the best "bark busters" and where to buy them? > D

Oh the're plenty strong. I had a chance to test them out on my DRZ400s. A couple of hard crashes directly on them and they performed excellently. Like Brad said, you can get plastic brush guards in different colors that screw onto the aluminum guards. Ed> attach to the Woods Pro bars.
