The one thing I don't like about locking axle nuts is that if you have to pull the wheel to fix a flat, etc., you need two wrenches to back the nut off the entire way. With the regular nuts, you only need one wrench to break it free, and it spins off the rest of the way. Trailside, I find that the former situation is just one more aggravation I don't need, although I've got a short temper. In the other applications, the Fuji nuts should be fine (although I don't think the engine bolts are retorqued often enough to need them). Krokko -- Dr. J. I thought of that when I put them on my bike, but found in fact that mine come off without the need for that extra wrench, both front and rear. I don't know why exactly. My axle bolts have a slight coating of grease on them too, and when I get the nuts off, (hehe, I said nut's off) I can grab them and just yank them straight out. MrMoose A8 (Barbie and Ken special)

My one experience with a Fuji lock nut was that it damaged the threads of the male fastener. Maybe the male fastener was not hardened enough; not sure. http://www.fun.co.jp/english/products/index.html Alan
