fan comes on for no reason.

Post by Tom Zangla » Tue Feb 10, 2009 4:04 pm

This morning at 6:15 a.m. I parked the A 19 and hooked it up to a battery charger. At 4:15 p.m. I heard something running and found my fan running on the A19. The key was not on. Now I am thinking that this has happened before and the cause of my battery being drained. What do I have to change to prevent this from happening again? Tom SW Pennsylvania

It sounds like the wire between your fan and the temp. sender has a short to ground. I'd start by checking that wire first. Don't stick your fingers near the fan if it can come on at any moment. Fred http://www.arrowheadmotorsports.com http://s1.zetaboards.com/arrowhead

I have a Scotts Steering Damper with ATK 350 Mounting kit. The unit was rebuilt by Scotts and has not been used since. Scotts has many other mounting kits available to fit other bikes. Asking $150.00 plus shipping. Can send a pic. I am cleaning out the garage to make way for a new KLR. Need more MooLaa. Cheers, Dave
