Craig, Some of the 2007 engines have a higher nub in that area, cause the issue you are having. I put the bolts back in and use a dremel or air grinder to get the nub almost flush. After you get the cover off, smooth the nub so it looks good and use some Rust-O-Leum Hammertone so match it up. It's a close match. Not all the 2007's have this.
