wide boots

I'm asking for suggestions for WIDE boots, motorcycle style or other. I want to find some that don't look like MX or racing boots and that can be worn for activities other than riding. Yes, I've searched the archives and am looking for more current suggestions. Thanks, Steve in Niceville

And yet Another reason to give hunters multiple tags to reduce the population of these herds. Wisconson DNR is really helping by issuing each hunter multiple tags depending on the "zone" the are hunting in, obviously rural area more tags, southern areas less, but not so much because of traffic issues, its more CWD related. Gotta stop the spread. Dooden A15 Green Ape --- In DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com, Jim Douglas wrote:

Red Wing boots come in widths up to EEE (at least). I have put a lot of road miles on a pair of Goretex/Thinsulate lace-ups with Vibram soles. They are pretty crusty by now, but they still keep my feet dry. They are the ones that come out for the really cold rides.

Steve, A search at http://www.newenough.com for "wide boot" comes up with a list. My 10.5D feet are very happy all day in my TCX Infinity GTX size 44's. Newenough.com has some brands that offer EE widths. Lars in VA

There's lots of wide non-MC boots at RedWing and Mason. I'd like to get wide (and tall instep) *motorcycle* boots, if anyone has a lead. Chris stmilum wrote:

Redwing boots come in all sizes and widths and wear like iron. Not sheap but probably less than Sidi or Oxtar Steve Strader, Ukiah, CA '06 Greenie (of course) [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Try the redwing web site. Also there are Hawthorn and White boots out of Oregon. The custom made Whites were about $375 last time I bought them about 8 years ago. I've had them rebuilt twice. They seem to be the choice of the USFS and CALFIRE crews. Mine fit right the first time, were felt broken in after the first couple of hours of wearing. Excellent ankle support and protection and very rugged. Happy Feet Buddy bseifert71@...
