Martin,
Down on your knees!!!
I've seen Bill wheelie his '04 around "Aqua Caliente" west of Phoenix. He DID say that it
caused his elbows (?) to hurt....

Somehow video evidence exists of such an event! I'm on the red bike. See a guy at the side of road with a camera, and the child comes out in all of us! I think this one started at about 20 mph.

Cool, about 50 seconds into the video I saw a Ducati pull the front
wheel up and ride right past the camera.
Cool stuff. I wish my KLR could do that, but 16T sprocket and all. That
front wheel never leaves the ground
But hey, at least my engine runs at a constant temperature all year!

Bill - Fun trip and good quality video. It's AMAZING what you can do

I can't wheelie, even on my 705 Stage II. Plenty of power, no guts. The
instant the front wheel leaves the ground every fibre of my being
desperately wants it back on the ground.

It's not so much in the clutch/throttle work although sometimes it's
required. You learn to find the sweet spot and then you don't even
think about it. Otherwise, you can manipulate the momentum of the
bike to come up more smoothly. It's the guys mucking with too much
throttle and clutch that turns the experience into something like a
David Blaine stunt.

I'm in Santa Ana and my '84 KLR600 clutch needs reassembly and I would
tow my cycle to anyone who can do that cheaply by the book with the
Kawasaki clutch tightening tool, asap.
