Well thanks to all for the ideas and information on what could have
been wrong with my bike after putting on new tires. I checked the
trueness of the rims, alignment, seatment, air pressure, etc. and
everything checked out. So I got on and just rode the dang thang! It
is a little squirrely at times but the knobs on these new tires are
pretty flexible so I'm sure that is what I'm feeling.
Thanks again for everyones input.
P.S. Just as a side note to anyone who may be interested... I recently
put a high altitude stage II jet kit(for bikes over 4000ft.) and K&N
filter and Supertrapp IDS2 exhaust. What a huge difference it has
made. The throttle is much more responsive, feels like it has a little
more horsepower, and sounds great.

final chapter in the new kenda k270's
Wait till you hit a corner hot and heavy with fresh K-270's, and the
tires knobs flex enough that as they flex the whole bike walks across
the painted line skipping from knob to knob. ( Pavement )
Ride the machine as hard as your tires let you, knobby tires and
pavement never a great thing, but point the ole girl offraod with the
fresh K-270's and let the dirt fly.
Have had the 270 paddle me through swamps and muck way thicker and
nastier than any near 400 lb bike should go.

Paul,
Couple years ago (on fresh 270s!) I was riding with a buddie on a crotch rocket following.
The road takes a 90 right, 90 left in about 40 or 50 feet, and I OUTCORNERED HIM! He
couldn't believe that you could do that on a DS w/ knobbies.
Enjoy your tires, and don't forget to reverse the front when it starts to 'cup'. Mt front has
19,000 kms on it, and lots left.
Cheers,
Ed
