I went down in the forest when I crossed blacktop covered with water. I should KNOW better to ever ride on the road! An hour of tearing up the Jeep trails on the 430 lb. monster, ONE 100 yard stent of black top took me out. This was over a year ago. My shoulder rotator will never be the same. My hand guard clamp on the right side dented my before perfect 2004 KLR tank. Now when going straight, my gage case is tweaked about 5-10 degrees right. My bars are bent down on the right side. So I probably got 2 or more problems. I need to get bars. When I did my doohickey at Julian a few years back, there were a lot of hot setups on bars? I know Buddy and Eagle Mike had something trick? I have $70-80 in 7/8" handguards, so I don know about tapers. Also, where do you run the brake hose (on the crossbar) if you don't have one. What bars and BENDS are you guys using. I am afraid to buy and not like the riding position of whats out there? Thanks, Bent in Crestline, Ca. Mike

Hi Fellow KLRista's I would like to commend Ross Lindbergs' unselfish acts of helping fellow riders on the Meritcare Cancer Run(61 4 61). He repaired a member rider with a short circuit that stalled and discharged the battery very early in the run with parts and tools Ross brought along. Then later helped with the multiple accidents from mishaps along in the Run. I will stop here and let Ross finish. He is the guy you would want to have along when going gets tough. Thanks Ross and it was a pleasure to meet you for the first time. Rick Johnson
