without riding the bike for some time. That s kinda how I see it based on information I read long ago; not exactly, but the bottom line is the same. In my experience you can get the bike to high enough temperature if you idle it long enough. But..... for a bike with a carburetor idling does not efficiently burn the fuel/air mixture. Thus .. not fully burned gases mess up your oil ,exhaust system and who knows what else. I believe you have to take the bike on a ride of ten miles to make sure bad stuff doesn t collect and do harm. I make a point to take such a ride at least once a month in the winter. If I m out of town and can t do that I put in Stabil which has worked fine for me. I think I'll try Seafoam base on list recommendations. I made a mistake in my previous message. I am wondering if a 92
KLR650 fuel tank will fit on the 88 KLR 650.
Any idea?
Kawasaki is giving me no help on this one.
