Is it available and workable to swap a counter sprocket with 14 teeth to a
13 tooth one? Seems I've heard this done while one the road.
14:43 = 1:3.07
14:46 = 1:3.28
13:43 = 1:3.30

I have the 13T in stock but I would advise against it if you are wanting to do much highway riding. Good for trail work but not so good for interstate cruising.

Hey Sean, didja ever get yer fuse situation cleared up? Hope so, 'cause I wanted to invite ya out to Tahuya ORV/Wildcat Trail(by Bremerton) Sat the 21st, if you've got time. Lost your email address for a while(I think you changed it) but I'm the fellow KLR-ista, met you in back of your restaurant at Ald Mall about 6 months(?) back. Let me know if you can make the 21st.
Or if you need to borrow my multimeter. Did I mention my '96 has all the original fuses?

Carl
PS--reply directly--I don;t check this list all the time.

Ive blown 11ea 20 amp fuses (The main fuse). Not sure at all where the problem lies? Any one heard of any regular electrical failures in the 08? Ive added about 2lbs of electrical tape trying to isolate it. spent 40 or more hours so far, I'll get it running it goes for a week, and then bam. I am at the end of my rope. If I remove the main fuse holder from it's carrier (Inside the side stand kill switch box) it seems to stay on, but when I button it back up and try to start it, blam blown fuse. I knew I should have stuck with the 04! Damnit! Someone save me arrgghhhhhhh! My KLR has now been in the back of three pickups, its embarrasing. Fred, Is the 13T counter sprocket harder on the chain, making the change to the sprocket more desirable?
TIA,
Don M
