tour de leelanau
For any listers in the Traverse City, MI area, the Tour de Leelanau, an
annual bicycle race in Leelanau County is looking for motorcycle
marshalls to help on race day, May 25, 2008. This event attracts racers
from all over the country and internationally and is a great deal of
fun. For more info, go to http://www.tourdeleelanau.com, and click on
the volunteer link if you're interested.

tour de leelanau
I've done moto-support for some local bicycle races and triathlons, can
second that this can be a lot of fun. One of my favorite moto-support
moments was during the Lifetime Fitness Triathlon in Minneapolis. I had a
marshal two-up with me on my ST1100. One of his responsibilities was to
confirm that the course was clear prior to start of the race. We
accomplished that with a high speed run around the lakes followed by two
squads with their lights flashing - great fun and would have made a
fantastic picture!
