My bike stays in the carport at night, the temps starting to drop I'll like to find some kind of pad to keep the engine, oil, warm. That'll make an easier start in the morning . Well, not really, since I don t need a heating pad, but I can chime in with Luc to say Fred Arrowhead is tops, but I have already told him so. I have had no prob with the head light, but I did with the stern or rear lights, cables too thin, burn on the inside, don t show on the outside. this seems to be standard on Jap bikes, they sure want to save copper, they are such an environmentalists, they make Al Gore cry. It is not abt. money, they want to save the planet! I have not touched the monster, so I have no right to even BE on this page, still waiting for the weather to change, so I cannot go swimming, and I will be forced to tinker on the Thing. So the mystery continues, why didn t it start? I will keep you all in suspense untill Mr. Poirot discloses the true story. It is good to hear from you all though. I have seen some magnetic pads that stick to the oil pan of your car to warm the oil. I have nevere used one, but have friends who have. They claim that some models get pretty hot. I'm not sure if it would work well on a bike as it would be tough to get a tight fit between the engine case and the heating pad. Ross Lindberg Fertile, MN

Luc-- An ordinary heating pad from the drug store? Of it that isn't big enough, a twin-sized electric blanket? An old-fashioned soldering iron stuck down the fill hole? That might be too hot. An electric hair dryer aimed at the beast's belly? Get a block heater for a tractor, some stick on magnetically. If you have a TSC (Tractor Supply Co.) near by they have them or most farm stores will have something to help keep tractor motors warmed up. JC Whitney probably has one for diesel engines but I haven't looked there.
