Epoxied the magnet to my brake rotor and zip tied the sensor to the brake caliper. I didn't find it to be all that useful on the transam, since it's not super easy to adjust (this might have changed, I had one of the first versions), and you'll eventually find that your odo is off by a consistent amount so I'd just do the mental math and keep riding. I did TN to AR, so if you're doing a more offroad portion of the trail, it might be more useful, but it certainly is not a necessity on the portion (which is mostly dirt roads) that I did. Z

It's always better for a government to declare war on an abstract noun (ex: "war on poverty") or amorphous enemy (ex: "war on drugs") because there are no metrics to define success or failure. This allows the government not only to avoid any meaningful accountability for progress, but also the flexibility to justify ratcheting up spending to either a) continue to follow the current wildly successful strategy to ultimate -- but of course undefined -- victory; or b)throw more money at the still-growing scourge.
