--- That would be great if you would report back on that, Gary. I can't ride my KLR to my gf's apartment complex without a locking cap because the kids descend on it like vultures. Got better things to do than stay up all night guarding fuel. Locking cap would be outstanding.

You might just have to leave the KLR at home and drive the wife's car. (Running for cover) Norm

The answer to my question seems to be that an Acerbis locking gas cap fits the IMS tank " perfect" and "works great" this is the link to the thread that i was following...the poster ended it with pictures. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?p=4982949#post4982949 Regards,Gary

Hey Matt, Just unscrew the factory cap and screw on the Acerbis cap.That simple. When you screw the cap onto the tank and "lock" the Acerbis cap,it's not really locked.It just turns freely in either direction until you put the key back in and "unlock" it.So actually I guess it is locked when you are screwing it on and off and it is unlocked when it is on the tank and you can't unscrew it.
