1986 kl600 overheating

Post by wburn2000 » Wed Jul 18, 2007 3:51 pm

I have just done a first over piston ,rings and bore on this low miles bike. I have taken it about 100 miles so far, and the temp guage is about at the red all the time. I have wired in a fan on switch, but seems to still want to stay on the high temp range. I am going to take it down to fix a left side case leak, and change the oil/filter , any ideas on what I can do to bring the temp down? I did put in a new sensor (the one next to the plug)is this giving me a false reading? I even took out the thermostat , and it's still hot, hot, hot. Thanks in advance. Wayne(rice)Burner So. clutch lever adjustment

Post by rmcnabbpa » Wed Jul 18, 2007 9:59 pm

I have an '02. I would like to adjust the clutch lever (or perhaps the clutch itself) so that I have quicker response when letting it out. As it is now, I have to let the lever out to almost the end of its travel before it engages. It's not like any other bike I've had. Where do I start? This is the first bike that I'm going to be working on myself, so I figured I would start with the basics. Thanks Ryan
