hoping things do not come in threes and one dead pig

A month ago coming back from my place in the Sierra foothills got
caught in a large backup in the twisties on Hwy 4 between
Copperopolis and Angels Camp. Eventually passed the sickening
yellow sheet along with a mangled Harley and a small car with a
destroyed front end ..last weekend returning from Alice's
Restaurant along Skyline I came around a corner and witnessed a
sport bike get into the dirt on the outside of a sweeping left hand
turn, and lose it in the burm that separated the road from the
forest. Both bike and rider began cartwheeling in a cloud of dust
and leaves. This guy faired better than the aforementioned Harley
rider (who also missed his turn into the other lane and into the
oncoming car), aside from being shaken he shattered one of his
wrists. Be careful
When I got home and was manuvering my bike into the garage I stalled
it twice and when starting it up for the second time nothing .no
power to headlight, starter etc. Both kill switches have been
bypassed and the sealed battery is no more than 6 months old and had
just been ridden for 80+ miles. After it sits for a bit when I turn
the key on I get the headlight back but when I hit the starter I get
a click from below the seat (it appears) and all power is gone. Let
it sit for a few more minutes same thing.
Electrical issues and me do not coexist well. Any thoughts?

It may be as simple as tightening the connections on your battery.

Doh...........Went out pulled the seat hit the positive connection
with the screwdriver.......it was loose. Fires right up.

Good Morning Craig,
1) Check and clean the battery terminals, use di-electric grease on
the terminals. Make sure the battery ground to frame is corrosion
free.
2) Follow the postitive battery lead to the starter relay. Make sure
it is clean and tight. (DO NOT allow your wrech to touch any other
metal)
3) Follow the lead from the relay to the starter. Make sure the
contacts are clean and tight.
4) spray contact cleaner into the start button. It may be musty in
there, or need to be taken apart and cleaned thoroughly. Do 1-3 +
the spray before a 'full' #4.

Craig,
One other thing to check early. How is the battery voltage now?
Should still be at 12.6v. Anything less than 12.4, I would think it
is not charging.
