I have a 2610 mounted with a Ram Mount. I've gone on some single tracks that the KLR really shouldn't be on and it held great. Only dumped the KLR in soft mud when the front washed out and the GPS was perfectly safe. I went thru whoops, rocky climbs, stream crossings, etc and the GPS never moved. The rubber ball mounts also help eliminate vibrations from the bike. -Bobby

i have a lorance 350c iway its a color touch screen that talks so i leave in the tank bag with the earplug line coming out it also has a flash card slot so it is a mp3 player that will pause the music to warn you of upcoming turns and directions. all the maps of the united states plus 1000000 points of interest are already loaded in it. so no mounting hardware to buy and no software to load. i am not a good enough rider to be safe looking at a tiny little screen will riding my bike. also it is cordless and has reachargeable batteries. the most you could pay is $500 plus tax but if you froogle it , it will be about $360 or so. it sure is nice to have when tring to find someplace you've never been before. hal2006

Hi there.............I use the Garmin Etrex Legend on the KLR...My Wife uses the regular Etrex on Her XT225 and my Son uses the Standard Etrex on his CRF 150........All use the regular Handlebar Mout from Garmin.........No problems at all........Easy to remove from the mount as well Pat A19 From an Island in the Pacific

Josh, lots of good replies already. I'll chip in that I use a Garmin 76Cx in a RAM mount. The GPS survived my accident with just a few scrapes on the case, but the cradle broke at the top and the ball at the handlebars sheared off, so I have to buy a whole new mount. (Judging from the scrapes on the top of my Givi top box, it looks like the bike rolled. I've got one of the cheapest Gps's there is. a garmin eTrex legend. It's got a garmin handle-bar mount on the cross-brace, right in the middle. I used a piece of 1 inch tygon hose ( slit ) to make a bushing and build up the size of the brace (1/2"?) to the 7/8" for the handle-bar mount. 1700 miles of street and light off-road and it's perfect for me. I can adjust the angle up and down too to adjust for glare, etc. I saved my $700+ for a fancy color one with some stupid voice and bloated extortive mapware and got a real, practical $180 solution. I even found street maps of my area on-line for free, drawn my some swedish guy, free. the 4-year warranty at circuitcity was only $28 bucks if anything ever goes wrong with it. funny,how the warranty on the magellan was $120 bucks per year.... --cy

I too use a handlebar mounted Garmin eTrex Legend (Garmin mounting system was least expensive way to get started). I rarely look at it while moving because of being on dirt / gravel roads and the screen is small. It's really there to record the history of our weekend excursions. We're slowing exploring northwestern Pennsylvania's state forests. I use some of the other screens to get ground speed when fooling around with different sprocket combinations. Never a problem. I've been using Ram mounts on my old Garmin 176 and now 276C. Not a problem with either on my ex DRZ400SE, Present R1150GSa and KLR650. Before that when I was using the Garmin 3 a company called ALoop had a neat mount made from plastic that attached to the crossbar. Really liked it. Too bad they are now made anymore. But I put many miles with that set up on DR350SE, R11GSA and the KLR650. As far my old R11RA, I just fab a mount from alu stock I had handy. Andy in Louisiana R1150GSA KLR 650 Chevy truck .
