Indeed. There's actually some things that I wouldn't bother doing if not for other damage to the bike. I prefer the stock tank to the IMS plastic fuel tank, for example, but my stock tank has a big dent in it and it was cheaper to buy the IMS than to get the tank fixed and repaint everything. Other things I've sold when they proved not to be worthwhile, such as the Clearview windshield and the Wolfman Explorer tank bag (which was too big and impinged upon the boys). I also would prefer the sturdier Happy Trails panier rack to the Givi panier rack, but the Givi was on the bike when I got it so (shrug). Similarly, I don't know if I would go with the E360 side bags, but they were cheap off of Craigslist and the Givi rack was already on the bike, so ... -E> It sure is easy to get carried away with the aftermarket stuff.
