selling 1999 and 2000 klr650 and parts
For Sale: The infamous "Pack Mule" is "FOR SALE", a 1999 Kawasaki
KLR650A13 with 76,387.1 miles. It broke the engine balancer chain
and damaged the motor "?" on 15 June 2006 and is not rideable! This
is a one owner bike, bought in July 1999. The bike is in better
than average condition and has been complety detailed. I have all
the maintenance records and receipts. The bike is equiped with over
$2,000.00 worth of accessories and replacement parts and has over
$500.00 worth of recent repairs. I will also be selling over
$1,500.00 worth of new and used parts. I have over $8,000.00
invested and will be selling everything for a fraction of what it's
worth and no reasonable offer will be refused! Also "FOE SALE" will
be a 2000 Kawasaki KLR650A14 with 28,175.5 miles on it. In July
2005 the motor blew the oil out of the motor?, the engine will turn
over, but has low compression. I bought this bike from the second
owner in October 2005 to use as a parts bike, the bike has since
been parted out, the complete motor remains in the main frame and I
have all the O.E.M. parts (except the drive chain, horn and
windscreen) as well as several accessories. I will sell this bike
as a total package or by the part and would like to sell everything
together if possible. I have clear titles for both bikes. For more
information go to www.micapeak.com, registries, KawasakiKLR650's and
view the entire registry, my bikes are listed under VIN:#51934.
Please e-mail me at jeffcunard@... or call 717-262-1025 if you
have any questions or a offer. Thump on, JC

oil leak on 2006.
Hi folks,
I have a 2006 with 5900km that leaks some oil in the front of the
righthand crankcase behing the waterpump. It is no big deal, the oil
level does not change, the gasket barely gets wet and I can wipe a
drop or so of oil every week. My estimation is that I loose less than
a teaspoon of oil between oil changes. As far as I remember, that
condition existed when the bike was new, so that can not be attributed
to wear.
I re-tightened all the bolts with no success. I feel I will have to
change the gasket when I get tired of wiping off oil. Does anybody
else have the same issue with his engine ? I am just curious to find
out if it is a widespread problem.
Thanks,
JL
ps 1 : ... and I was concerned about oil leaks when I did the doo !
the left crankcase could not be dryer.
ps 2 : Don't tell me to bring it back to the dealer, I won't. Those
****** could not setup the bike correctly for delivery, there is no
way I will let them touch the engine.

oil leak on 2006.
I have an '06 with 7500 km on it. No leaks anywhere. Bring it back to the dealer and have it fixed under warranty.

oil leak on 2006.
I have a 2006, the faster red one and I have had 0 issues with it
after riding it over 22,500 miles. No oil leaks, nodda, even after
switching to mobil 1, M/C specific, synthetic motor oil at around
4000 miles . I wouldn't take it back to the dealer either.
