klr 650 wanted

antoinette, i just picked one up my self a couple days ago in san jose. that makes me new to the group as well. hi all. i paid $3900k for a used 2001 w/ 900 miles on her all stock. i think this was a darn good deal. i found it on cycletrader.com and there's a few others in there. you have to fiddle with the search feature of that site to find what's available. try searching both for "KLR 650" and "KLR650" in California with nothing else specified. don't indicate "kawasaki". there's a dealer in salinas with a few klrs but they're not too quick to give out prices so i don't know what they're going for. there's a guy in redwood city that has one for 3500 and i think it's a 98 or 99. contact him at: anthony@... . his has an aftermarket pipe and has been retuned, also some aftermarket bars. email him and he'll send you pix. i was all set to see this bike before i bought mine but i went to get the one in san jose instead. i found that one in yahoo's classifieds and there are a couple more listed. http://classifieds.yahoo.com//display/automobiles?cid=automobiles-1004379704-9749863&cc=automobiles&ct_hft=detail&&intl= you may need to piece this url to see the item. one of them is listed by a guy who's email address no longer works. there hasn't been anything local on ebay that i saw, although there's a number of them throughout the country. you should be able to get a good deal since the downer economy has hurt the used bike market in a big way. good luck. joe --- antoinettemaveaux@... wrote:

Howdy, I commonly adjust my idle set screw after the bike warms up. A5 Jim
