Yeah, the heat's been real fun. I took a friend on the back of the bike to see Radiohead at the Greek on friday and had some heat related issues. After getting past all the places where I could lane split/filter, I was just slowly poking along in line. Temp gauge was up near the top already, and after a few blocks of stop & stop, it started to idle really low and die when I let off the throttle. Luckily we were only a block or so away from the bike lot, so she hopped off and walked while I limped the rest of the way. After the show and the heat were over, it ran fine. I just got done flushing and refilling the coolant since it was due anyway, and friday evenings adventure told me I should just go ahead and do it. I also had cluelessly refilled it at some point with 100% antifreeze, so I know it wasn't cooling as well as it should've been. It's a much happer 50/50 mix now instead of somewhere inbetween 50/50 and 100/0 - I hope it handles the heat better. erik --------------------------------- Yahoo! I live in Los > Angeles, and it was 100+ degrees this weekend. Ouch.
