On my '84 KLR250, it still has the stock Dunlop front tire, I believe, and a Pirelli MT40 rear tire, that is almost bald. The front is weather cracked. I'm looking at getting Kenda K270's, since they are so cheap, but my bike will be trails only. Any other really cheap tires, better suited for trails? How about Kenda Millville's?

Compaired to what you got on it now... the Kenda 270's will grip like a bear claw. Acceptable pavement handling provided the operator remembers they are riding on knobbies. Of course its up to you, but I give the Kenda's a thumbs up for cost and performance, only thing I would mention that the rear seems to wear into a flat knobby, but I am hard on tires/chain. My OEM chain has under 7,000 miles and its pretty much shot, rollers are getting loose and although I will ride it out this year would not take it on any long highway rides, which I have no intentions on doing this year. A 250 might have been a better choice for myself, but I love my 650. Dooden A15 Green Ape
