I read about the KLR owners that hand cuff themselves to there bikes and the other that bring it in there motel room BUT short of that...... Can you help me out with a brand of cable lock that someone can just cut? and what about brake rotor locks and which brands are best? Thank in advance Tom Northern Cal. --------------------------------- Yahoo! Messenger with Voice. PC-to-Phone calls for ridiculously low rates. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Try tying a skunk to it. Worked for me once the skunk got used to the idea. tom smart wrote: Well as I break in my new KLR650 I have come to really like this new bike. Hi Tom I have purchased a XENA brake rotor lock a few years ago and like it. It also has a built-in motion sensor that can trigger an alarm which also act as a reminder should you try to ride with the lock ON. http://www.xenasecurity.com/home/current/lock/ Regards Sylvain --- tom smart wrote:

I second the skunk suggestion. If you have one of the green KLRs and don't wash it often, sometimes the little fella takes a liking to it, like his own little bush. Alternately, get the heaviest kryptonite chain and lock you can afford (I think it's fuhgeddaboutit and a big disk lock) and trim the black plastic cover over the starter relay etc (on the left side, under the tank) so you can thread the chain through the main part of the frame. Recognize it's only a deterrent, don't park in dumb places, and you might survive without the skunk. -Luke --- tom smart wrote:

--- Just curious, Jason. Did it have the original HF engine in it? I think a lot of the HFs I see these days have had engine conversions. What did the original HF engine make, like 56 horsepower or something? As a side note, HFs are getting hard to come by, as it turnd out to be the lightest CRX chasis since they went nutso on weight savings to make that fuel consumption number, and its gotten to be a very popular chasis among the project set.
