Not plug in the extra hose, and plug up the hose. Probably not legal in CA, because it's part of the evaporative emissions system. I believe people plug this anyway because while offroading fuel leaks out from there.>I bought a Non-Ca tank that fits perfect except it is missing the spot >to plug in extra hose. Brent,
I also live in the city in the Federal Hill area. As you know there are not a lot of places within the city to ride. Of course that's not to say it isn't fun. However just out side the city in Baltimore County and other surrounding counties there are some fun places. If you like twisties, then head west out toward Patapsco Valley State Park around where I-70 and US-29 meet. Also check out the area around old Ellicott City (take MD-144 west from the Baltimore Beltway). My friends that ride also say the Prettyboy Reservoir area is a lot of fun. That's north of Baltimore off of I-83 next to Gunpowder Falls State Park. Off-road, there are ATV trails, horse trails, and power line clearings all over MD. It's just that you take your chances with the law and trespassing (not that I do such things, of course). That's all I can think of off the top of my head. From where would you be coming and what kind of riding are you looking to do?

I just checked out your bike pix. You really know how to do it!
I get to Balt. once in awhile. I have one daughter that live around Patterson Park and another that live on the East side loop around White Marsh Mall.
I've wondered if I ever rode my bike down there, if there'd be places to ride while the girls were busy.
Can you give me some info?

Warren,
Welcome to the list. I got my KLR in November and joined the list around the same time. It's a great bike and a great support group here. Enjoy the spring!
