Anyone interested in trading a late model KLR for a 1999 Buell x1. The Buell has under 4000 miles on it. Two years ago I bought a hayabusa so ofcourse I have not rode this bike since.(I love the hayabusa)It is red.

Thats a good idea. Since I have the Hayabusa too, and ride the KLR even more. Longer sport Rally's on the Busa, shorter Adventure Rally's on the KLR, but more of them. As I get more time, longer Adventure Rally's on the KLR. I love my BUSA too, road a new KX-14 at Daytona. Very nice, but my BUSA is still as exciting as I need.

That will keep the current through your switch contacts at a reasonable level which will probably extend the life of the contact to close to forever. Don't forget to add a new fuse to the relay power wire and maybe run the power wire off the battery or battery side of the starter relay. Using heavier wire with the new relay will significantly increase the brightness of the bulb. I think it was last fall this was discussed on the list but if I recall somewhat closely the difference between 12 volts and 14 volts to the bulb is close to a 60% difference in brightness.
