Hey all, My fiance' and I will be riding our KLR650's back from ( this is Australia ) Perth to Adelaide. The trip is about 3100 k's. I am toying with the idea of towing a small bike trailer behind my bike for tent, food and lugage. Maybe my Engel fridge as well. I am asking if any of you have ever or are currently towing a trailer behind your KLR650? I would really like to know what sort of weight I can get away with. Wondering also about fuel consumption when towing and wether there needs to be a sprocket adjustment. I would love to know any other issues or problems that you may have come across with the bike when towing. Any help on this subject would be most appreciated. I would hate to do this sort of distance and have it all wrong from the outset. Cheers Jason 3 A2's ( restored !!)

Just my opinion, but if you are even thinking about pulling a trailer, you are bringing way too much crap.

Just my opinion, but if you are even thinking about pulling a trailer, you are bringing way too much crap. I'll second that----------all the stuff your wanting to pack will fit on the bike-so why pull a trailer. The frame, suspension, tires, wheels, brakes are barely adequate for the bike the way it is------you will be overtaxing every component on the bike--------very, very, very, very bad idea------get it out of your mind.
