Jim,
Get pissed. : ) My factory manuals are:
'84 KLR600 Motorcycle Service Manual Part Number 99924-1050-01
1987-2003 KLR650/KLR500 Motorcycle Service Manual Supplement Part Number
99924-1080-59
These are the manuals sold by Kawasaki in 2003 for my bike. I think the
base manual is the same but the supplement gets updated each year.
I'll send you a picture of the section off list.
Best,

Jeff.
What a bummer. I don't have a Clymer's Manual.
But I had conflicting info. I bought the PDF version of the manual on
ebay.
Page 11-9 of this Base Manual, DOT NUMBER 5 says,
"With the fork fully extended, insert a tape measure or thin rod in the
fork...".
If this is wrong then I defiantly overloaded.
The front cover is that of the KLR 600. Since they came together I
assumed that
the 650 was built off the 600.
Is yours a KLR 650 Base manual? If so I'm going to be a little PISSED and
spread my
lack of joy to the company who sold it to me.
Her is a pict of the manual.
PICTURE DELETED For the KLR650 LIST

If you like reading about trust-funders crashing expensive bikes and inflated ego's you'll love AdvRider.com It is a nice site if you don't mind wading through all the fluff though.
