nklr: garmin 60cs gps price advice

Post by sheldonweaver » Tue Nov 08, 2005 12:39 pm

After getting ridiculously lost(in my car, which isn't anywhere near as fun as getting lost on the bike)the other weekend, I think I may have finally talked myself into getting a GPS. After scouting ebay, froogle.com, and mysimon.com it seems that around $380 is the going price for a 60CS. Does this seem about right? I kinda remember somebody saying that you could get a good deal at some truck store. If anybody has an extra 60CS that they wanna sell, LMK. Thanks, Sheldon A15

I don't have a 60CS but I do have a 60C that has hardly been used because I can't read it without my reading glasses. Same GPS but without the compass and maybe one other thing but I can't remember what that was. I also have City Select and Topo for it. Let me know if you're interested, Jon... Portland, OR.

Wearing a helmet, to me, just obstructs all the wonders around. I much prefer the open air feel and view. I guess it falls under that old cliche. "if you have to ask, you won't understand". I guess I should mention that I spend 90% of my time on blacktops and gravel roads, where there is almost no traffic. Also 90% of that time is under 60mph. Actually I spend a lot of time at 45mph. If I lived in a big city and had to fight cages all the time, I would probably wear a helmet a more often. Rick A17 Pat Schmid wrote:
