Listee's,
For those of you without a KLR Service manual, there is one on ebay with starting bid of $2.00. Still in plastic it says. It may be worth looking into.

Can anyone tell me if the Kawasaki manual(not the supplement)covers a
balancer/waterpump shaft replacement? What is in the supplement
anyways, I haven't seen the book yet but is the supplement for the
bikes made after a certain year? I need to get the service manual,I
have an A1, but don't want to get the suplement if I don't need it.
Also if anyone has a used one for sell I would be interested. Thanks.

You need both the KLR600 base manual and the supplement for the
KLR650. Don't have 'em in front of me but I'm pretty sure they will
cover the replacement.

The KLR600A1 base manual covers the procedure.
A minor detail to note is that later bikes like the 600B and 650 did
not use selective shims behind the waterpump impeller.
Just refit the shim you have and you should be ok.

I am looking for someone willing to part with his (worthless
by all accounts...

KLR service manual. It's not really for
me, rather for Fabian (you may have seen his post earlier
this week seeking info) in Cordoba, Argentina. If you have
one, and are willing to part with it, please drop me a note
off-line.
TIA,
Gustavo

Is it true that Haynes or Chilton is going to finally have a KLR
manual out shortly?
