bike seems to surge a little...

I recently purchased a 2006 650klr. I drove per recommended break in
procedures & had the first service done (500 mile). I now have 1800
miles & the bike seems to surge a little when I try to maintain an
easy cruise speed. Any idea what may be going on & what could be the
possible fix?
Thanks in advance for help!

This subject came up a couple of weeks ago and one of the suggested
solutions was to check the chain tension.
Worth a look

And open the pilot screw on the carb one full turn. That will help a little.
The KLR runs real lean, and the cooler weather makes it worse.
